I have a BS in Public Helath but am looking into Alternative Med now in combo with Ayurveda…but i want to make sure I know what I can do if I go for this…my goal is to be able to do various Alt Med practices from my house and eventually open my own buisness…any advice?

As a current student of Clayton College, here are some of the programs they offer:
You can set up your own practice. Joining a mainstream hospital, you’ll probably won’t be able to use what you’ve learned here until mainstream accepts alternative methods.

It depends on which Alternative Medicines you specialize in. If it’s mostly nutrition and herbs, a Nutritionist, Herbalist, or a health consultant would be good. I have talked to so many people that wish they knew of any doctors or nutritionists that could advise them on supplements and natural products, but there just aren’t that many out there.
As for where to get a job, you could also look into working with Chiropractic offices, Reiki practitioners, massage offices, or even a health food store. Since we don’t have any sort of list of where consultants may be in any give area, I normally recommend people start asking at those places first because they are typically most concerned with maintaining health instead of medicating.
Your options are very open and your first step may just be talking to the manager/owner of every health-related company in your area to see if they have a position that would suit your skills. Good luck!
